Personal details

Please fill in the fields with your personal data. Here is particularly important for us:

a national insurance number/ Pension insurance number
The national insurance number is made up of the following elements: Area number, date of birth and first letter of your birth name, serial number and check digit. For example: 65 170806 J 008.


Severe disability
Be sure to put a cross by „yes“ or „no“.

 

Employment

The largest part is filled in by the employer.
However, we need from you:
Your school leaving certificate and your vocational training. (Please put a cross in each case!)

Status at the start of employment
We need to know what you are currently doing. Put a cross in the box that applies to you.
 

Taxes

Tax identification number/Tax ID:
The tax identification number is composed of eleven digits that are not intended to give any indication of personal data. Exactly one digit may be repeated in the first ten digits of the eleven-digit number, with one digit not being used. The zero must not be in the first position. You will usually find this in the following documents:/p>

Tax class/category
The number of your tax category (as well as tax ID and allowances) can be found on your monthly pay slip. It can also be found on the electronic wage tax certificate issued annually by your employer. Have you not yet received your pay slip or income tax statement? Then the best way to find out your tax class is to call your local tax office.

Flat rate and passing on to employees
This is completed by the employer

  • in the income tax assessment
  • on your income tax certificate.
     

Social security

We need to know whether you have statutory or private health insurance. We also need the name of your health class.
„Only for marginally employed persons“: you do not have to tick this box, it is not possible for short-term employment.
 

Remuneration

This is completed by the employer.
 

Capital-forming benefits

This is completed by the employer.
 

Do you have other occupations?

Information on further employment (in the case of short-term employees also previous employment in the current calendar year)
This is not about your current full or part-time employment.

It is mandatory to put a cross here!

  • If „yes“:
    We need to know if and where you have been in short-term employment before. Please fill in from when to when you were in short-term employment, if the fields are not sufficient, please also use a blank sheet.
  • If „no“:
    Then you don't need to fill in anything else.

Please do not make any false statements, otherwise in the worst case your employment contract could be void, because the questionnaire is always a prerequisite for it.

General information

Your agency is there to support your career in the industry, to get you jobs and it selects between serious and dubious clients. A hostess and promotion agency should be there to help you with questions as well as useful tips. From building up your sedcard, to arranging and settling accounts with clients, our agency is there to help you in word and deed. The task of our hostess agency is to promote and place you, whether alone or in a team. In addition, you are always on the safe side as far as the end customer is concerned, because this is always checked and verified by us in advance. You will find numerous hostess agencies on the Internet, from large management agencies to small placement agencies. It is best to check the websites of the agencies carefully in advance and make sure that the application is always free of charge.

No. We base our staff selection on our clients and their requests. In order not to give our applicants false hope, we do not accept hostesses, promoters, influencers or presenters who we think would be difficult to place. But here you are also in demand, because without good photo material it will be difficult to assert yourself against other hosts/hostesses.

In principle, anyone who is interested and at least 18 years old can apply to work for us as a Hostess, Promoter, Influencer, Grid Girl or Moderator. During the selection process, we pay particular attention to charisma, language skills and a well-groomed appearance.

Each application is checked by us and activated for the areas discussed in advance.

Your personal data will be treated confidentially by the hostess and will not be passed on to third parties without your consent. If your sedcard is released for public viewing on our website, site visitors will see the following information there (the same also applies, of course, when we present your sedcard to the customer):
  • First name
  • First letter of the surname
  • Year of birth
  • Residence
  • Body measurements and clothing size
  • Shoe size
  • Hair colour and eye colour
  • Information about tattoos and piercings
  • Photos
  • Language skills
  • Current activity
  • Professional and school education
  • Experience / References
     

Your contact details, which the hostess needs for its own use, will not be published. With your consent, we will forward your telephone number and e-mail address as well as your full name to the respective client after the binding booking, so that further details for the cooperation or queries can be clarified directly.

This is a compilation of your uploaded pictures. You can edit your sedcard online at any time with your login data. You simply log in under https://www.the-models.de/en/my-account/login and click on „Sedcard“ in the login area. Further steps are described there.

It would be advantageous if you have a small business to receive short-term requests, in which case you would then settle directly with the end customer yourself. If this is not an option for you, the job will be settled via your income tax card.

Application

You can apply to us free of charge and online at www.the-models.de/application. Fill in all fields truthfully and upload several pictures, including at least one full body photo and one portrait. Once we have reviewed your application, we will contact you to arrange a short phone interview to discuss our guidelines.

No! Applying to our agency is free of charge. It doesn't matter whether you apply as a hostess, promoter, influencer, presenter or grid girl, your application is always free.

After your application, you will receive an email from us. It usually takes 3 - 10 working days, as we receive numerous applications every day and have to check them thoroughly. In the email, we will then describe the next steps in detail and arrange a telephone appointment.

Profil

Please make sure that your image is not larger than 5 MB. If you still have difficulties uploading your images, please contact us: info@the-hostess.de

Simply log in online at https://www.the-models.de/en/my-account/login and change or update your data in the different tabs.

Your profile picture is determined by us as the hostess and promotion agency. A change on your part is not possible. However, you can send us an email to info@the-hostess.de and tell us which picture you would like to have as your profile picture. We will be happy to check the picture and see if it is possible to use it as a profile picture.

To delete your profile, you must first log in under https://www.the-models.de/en/my-account/login.After successful registration, the option „Delete profile“ appears in your account under „Settings“. Upon confirmation on our part all pictures and profile data will be irrevocably deleted. You can also contact us info@the-hostess.de).

Jobs

As soon as you are registered with us as a hostess, promoter or grid girl and your online sedcard is complete, you will receive a call from us in which you will be informed about everything important. You will receive job enquiries from us by e-mail. You have the possibility to click on „Available“ or „Not available“ to give us a direct feedback whether you are available for the job or not. With us, the customer always chooses his favourites in advance, and you will certainly be among them more often. In order to be able to work and react as quickly as possible, your feedback is essential. This is the only way we can guarantee that you will be placed. Reliability and communication are basic requirements for a cooperation to work. Even if you are not available for the whole period, please give us a short info from when to when you would be available. (simply reply to the e-mail, then the responsible booker will receive your message directly). If you like the job and the client decides in your favour, you will receive a booking or placement confirmation by e-mail with all the necessary information about the job. Only after confirmation of the booking and placement confirmation is the binding booking and successful placement concluded.

No. You have the free choice and can refuse the requests (even without giving reasons). However, it is important for us to receive feedback in general. This way we know whether you are still active and whether our mails actually reach you.

No! However, it is important that you are active – i.e. that you respond to our job enquiries with an acceptance or rejection. If you don't do this or if we only receive rejections from you over a long period of time, we will contact you.
Then we will clarify together what the problem is and whether further cooperation makes sense for both sides.
If you are not available for a longer period of time, it is of course also possible to temporarily suspend your account.
This way you won't receive any enquiries and we won't suggest you to clients.

With these tips you can increase your chances of a successful placement:

  • Pictures: No matter for which area you apply – without meaningful pictures, your chances of being placed are poor. That's why we recommend that our hostesses upload at least 10 photos in good resolution. You are also welcome to upload pictures of your jobs, trade fair stand, etc. You can find out how best to design your sedcard in our description for the right @Sedcard pictures.
     
  • References / Experience: Have you already gained experience in your field of work? Then enter this under „References / Experience“. You have not yet gained any experience? Then just tell us a bit about yourself and why you are still suitable for a job in this sector.
     
  • Availability: Hostesses, promoters or grid girls naturally have a higher chance of being proposed and placed for jobs if they are available for several locations in Germany. So even if a city is not in your immediate vicinity: Are there perhaps very good train connections? Or do you perhaps have relatives who live nearby and with whom you could stay overnight?
     
  • Qualifications: Large trade fairs in Germany, such as bauma or the IAA, are teeming with international customers – foreign language skills are therefore a big plus for hostesses. So be sure to fill out this section completely! For us „the hostess GmbH“ it is important that the hostesses speak fluent German and also fluent English so that they can represent the customers at international trade fairs.

Variant 1: via short-term employment As soon as we have your completed documents, we can invoice you for short-term employment on the 15th of the following month.

Variant 2: via the trade licence As soon as we have all invoices and timesheets together, they are forwarded to the end customer. The payment term is usually 30 days, but can also be earlier.
